Hopefully you have taken my advice and signed with Bluehost, but for the purposes of this tutorial I will assume you are taking a different route.
If your hosting company does not offer automatic WordPress installation you will have to start by verifying you have FTP access. Personally I use a free piece of software called an FTP Filezilla to manage my account, but feel free to use CuteFTP, SmartFTP, Restore or FTP software you are comfortable using. Now that you have FTP software installed and you’ve verified that you can connect to your Web server using a login provided by your web host is now time to download WordPress here. Download the default of WordPress will be a zip file that you must remove it before moving to your webspace via FTP. When connected using an FTP software you will need to decide where you want to install WordPress, but by default it should be in httpdocs or public_html folder. If you are planning to build a traditional website and just want to enter your Tech Blog as one aspect of the site then you will need to create a new folder within the httpdocs or public_html folder.
