The Google Instant Preview and the importance of web design
Since the launch of Google Instant Preview, a project that Google has developed to make it possible to display web content from search results without having to access the appropriate link, this leads to reflection on extra importance to the design of a website as the visitor to look in Google you will see the appearance of the destination of a link before deciding to click the link. Not to comment on the huge number of sites with more ads than content, which will surely be dismissed at first glance, so we are probably at the beginning of a new way of thinking when designing a website and create content to attract readers.
In the Google blog in Latin America highlights three important points of this system:
-Compare results quickly – A visual comparison of search results helps the user to decide which is more suited to what you’re looking for, you can quickly jump between thumbnails to see which site seems to be the best.
-Identify relevant content – text calls sometimes orange highlight on the website where the term appears to be sought, so the user can evaluate if that’s what I was looking for exactly.
-Interact with the results page – Previews of page let you see the design of a web page before clicking on that result. For example, if one is looking for a graphic, photo, map or list, you can detect if that content is available to preview.
Google Art Project you wander through the world’s major museums
Google in conjunction with 17 galleries in the world we gave the Art Project, a kind of virtual gallery where we can see over a thousand works belonging to these institutions.
The interesting thing is that we can project a virtual tour inside the museum where galleries are set, for which the big G used the same technology used in Street View .
Added to this site visitor can appreciate each of the works with even higher quality as we could see in Live, for which the company used a technology to capture super-high resolution or ” gigapixel “. Within the list of museums and galleries that can “walk” are the MOMA in New York, Reina Sofia in Madrid, Tate Britain and The National Gallery in London and the Uffizi Gallery in Florence.
Overall, it took 18 months of work to materialize the project, recorded a total of 1,061 works of art belonging to 486 artists.
Google Street View comes to Antarctica
Google Street View has caused more problems in a variety of countries due to not respect the privacy of individuals, however, the company goes ahead with its plans and now released to conquer the confines of the world: Antarctica .
With this foray, Street View is present on all continents, but has not yet entered into all the nooks and crannies that has our planet (although close). The service will also begin work today in Brazil and Ireland.
Of course, Antarctica, Google should not face major legal problems or privacy concerns beyond complaints to utter the penguins in the area. It is clear that these issues depend on people living in a certain place and how they react to new technologies.
The new images start to appear on Street View within 24 hours, so those wishing to explore the frozen continent will have to wait a bit.
Google Art Project, visit art museums around the world from Internet

17 of the museums in the world have joined Google to realize Google Art Project , a tool enabling Internet users view online the most important works of art without leaving your home and with great detail.

Each image contains approximately 14,000 million pixels, enabling the person contemplating to study details such as the brushstroke and the patina of a form that could not see at a glance.
Through technology, Street View, allows Internet users to virtually move more than 385 rooms and select works of art that interest them for more information.
Spain participated in the museum Reina Sofia and Thyssen-Bornemisza , and the rest of the world other temples of art as the MoMA in New York, USA, Gallery of the Uffizi in Florence, the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam or National Gallery of London.

Chrome OS, or as Google learns from all
Google has just released the highly anticipated Chrome OS , the operating system for netbooks that are rumored for years that can be summarized in a system as light as possible constant and ubiquitous connectivity to be able to offload procedures and documents to the Internet cloud … coincidentally where Google is a major player.
But it’s interesting how Google is learning from everybody a little to improve a little more … for example:
A) the ability to encrypt the data and make a boot up every time you turn the machine making sure that the heart of the OS is no alterations … I learned from Blackberry (and do not annoy me because it is so). Read the rest of this entry »
Cr-48 Chrome Google Notebook
I am the proud owner of a Macbook Air with all potential upgrades, so the possibility of playing with a Cr-48 Chrome Google Notebook seduced me more for the exclusivity of the pilot program than anything else but honestly its speed, size and weight left me aghast , to put it simply, the machine is ready to use when my laptop is still loading drivers … but as the star is the “operating system? the hard leave it to later, but for the record, I feel great team but no connectivity infrastructure class is good for many things .
To be clear, this machine will never be on sale, it’s just a proof of concept for Chrome as a platform even though many may see it as just “a browser” and thus needs to have internet connection to turn on and why Today on other devices (say tablets) there is the embodiment of Android 3.0, Honeycomb … but nonetheless it is interesting to understand Chrome as a framework rather than a browser, when connected to a network class can do many things , especially in the “social world” that we are all looking up at people’s priorities in using the Internet.
